Coleman is Lancashire-born. She was educated at Arnold School in Blackpool. As headgirl, she earned straight A grades for her A Levels. In response to questions about her role in Emmerdale she replied she regretted having not had an experience like the traditional one at university. While at school Coleman was part of a theatre company called In Yer Space with whom she played at the Edinburgh Festival in the play Crystal Clear. An award was presented to her for the presentation, while the show received an enthusiastic reception. Coleman was given the part as Jasmine Thomas at Emmerdale while auditioning in drama schools in 2005. Coleman was twice nominated for awards in the year 2007. She won The Best Newcomer in the British Soap Awards and Most Popular Newcomer at the National Television Awards. For the British Soap Awards of 2009 she received nominations in the categories of Best Actress and Sexiest female in addition to the Best Dramatic Acting. Coleman was nominated for Best Actress at the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat revealed at a Doctor Who Press Conference on March 21, 2012 that Coleman was going to play Matt Smith as the Doctor's Companion after Karen Gillan, Arthur Darvill and other actors have left the series. Moffat has decided to choose her for the role because she has the best chemistry with Smith. Also, she spoke faster than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. Elle has been in the field of film since 1987. Her work has been much more prominent on TV than in films. Eva is most well-known for her work on the show the character Dr. Maria Santos on All My Children and detective Natalia Boa Vistas in CSI Miami. The latter brought her two nominations for a Daytime Emmy. Additionally, she was able to showcase her creativity via music. Eva is not just an actor, but an entrepreneur and philanthropist. Eva is married to three men and has a child from the second.
